Welcome to VOBA Pune updates: Inauguration -18th VOBA

The 18^th VOBA Invitational Football Tournament for the Late Maj. K.P.Jadhav Rolling Trophy was inaugurated on Friday 15^th March 2013 by Rev.Fr. Andrew Fernandes s.j. Principal St. Vincent’s High School in the presence of Mr. M.K .Jadhav the sponsor of the tournament.. Also present on the occasion were , Mr.Bobby Jacob, President VOBA, Mr.Saifee Polishwalla, Tournament Coordinator and the VOBA Executive Committee members. Mr.Pradeep Pardeshi, Secretary of PDFA and PDFA members Mr. A.R.Sheikh, and Mr. Jianuddin S also graced the occasion. Mr.Deepak Bhalerao was the match commissioner.

This tournament used to be held in September each year, but with the unseasonal rains often upsetting the planned schedule, the organizers VOBA have now moved the tournament to March. All the Super and First Division matches ( 28 teams participating) will be played at St. Vincent’s High School Grounds while the second and third division matches (46 teams participating) upto the quarter finals will be played at the Range Hills Grounds Kirkee. All the semi final matches and finals will be played at St. Vincent’s High School grounds.
